ABOUT EDVOCATION

Edvocation was founded by Dr. Wayne Fanno in 2017 and stands as a steadfast ally in an educational journey, especially for those drawn to the trades as a career path. We're champions for the transformative impact of education and are fully invested in equipping students with the tools and insights that cater to trade-focused ambitions. Through practical learning experiences and direct application in the real world, we're here to arm students with the expertise to excel in the dynamic workforce landscape.

We're not just an organization; we're a movement towards accessible education for everyone. At Edvocation, we ignite the spark of potential in the upcoming workforce by opening doors to various career explorations and championing the importance of finishing high school strong.

We get it - college isn't for everybody. When classroom interest wanes, it can lead to disconnection and, sadly, a higher chance of dropping out. While getting a GED is an option, staying the course for that high school diploma is a potent move for the future. And let's talk about the future – it's hungry for skilled tradespeople. It's essential to shine a light on different career paths from the start so students can align their passions with practical choices.

Internships are a game-changer. They're a sneak peek into the working world, offering hands-on experience and nurturing a vision for what's ahead. That glimpse into the future can be just the nudge needed to stay engaged with high school and cross that graduation finish line.

We at Edvocation are all about that power-up for the next wave of professionals. With our network of business partnerships, we're thrilled to offer internships for those ready to roll up their sleeves in the skilled trades. It's our goal to help students uncover their drive, define their purpose, and pave the way to a fulfilling career.

OUR TEAM

Partnering with Edvocation

Edvocation is partnering with existing education groups (public and private) to expand our pre-apprenticeship program and offer apprenticeship opportunities to high school students and learners who have stepped away from school. We help develop the skills they need to succeed in the workforce. Our program will target priority sectors that have a growing demand for skilled workers, such as healthcare, technology, and advanced manufacturing. By providing students with hands-on training, mentorship, and real-world experience, we aim to bridge the education that limits employment

opportunities, empowering young individuals to pursue fulfilling careers and contribute to the economic growth of their communities. Moreover, our partnerships with local businesses and industry experts will ensure that our apprenticeship programs align with current industry standards and address specific workforce needs.

LOOKING TO THE FUTURE

Looking to the future: The long-term vision for Edvocation includes the development of youth apprenticeship programs and a comprehensive online high school. These initiatives aim to provide students with practical, hands-on learning experiences and expand access to quality education regardless of geographic limitations. By establishing youth apprenticeship programs, Edvocation seeks to bridge the gap between classroom instruction and real-world application, enabling students to gain valuable skills and industry-specific knowledge while still in school. Additionally, the implementation of a fully online high school would offer flexibility and personalized learning opportunities to students who may face barriers to attending a traditional brick-and-mortar institution.
